Estados Unidos.— La comunidad de Sterling Heights, del estado de Michigan, aplaude el acto heroico de un joven oficial de policía, quien actuó rápido para salvar la vida de una bebé de tres semanas.
Cameron Maciejewski acudió al llamado de ayuda de una familia alrededor de las 10:45 PM del pasado jueves, quienes estaban en pánico porque la bebé no respiraba.
El oficial instó a los padres a mantener la calma, mientras tomó a la niña en sus brazos y realizó movimientos, a manera de despejar sus vías respiratorias.
Afortunadamente, la bebé comienza a toser y llora. De inmediato, el Departamento de Bomberos se hizo cargo de trasladarla a un hospital para su valoración médica.
“Si no fuera por las acciones rápidas, tranquilas y salvadoras del oficial Maciejewski, el resultado de este incidente podría haber sido trágicamente diferente. El oficial no solo salvó a la bebé, sino que hizo un excelente trabajo consolando a la familia”.
El departamento reitera que buscan brindar el mejor servicio a sus ciudadanos.
Sterling Heights Police Officer Saves Three-week-old BabyUpon pulling up to the home, the officer was rushed by the family who were holding their three week old baby girl, who was not breathing. Ofc. Maciejewski calmly takes the baby in his arms and performs back thrusts in attempts to clear the baby’s air way. When doing so, the baby coughs up the obstruction, and begins to cry. The baby was then turned over to the Sterling Heights Fire Department who transported the baby to the hospital for evaluation. If it wasn’t for Ofc. Maciejewski’s quick, calm, lifesaving actions, the outcome of this incident could have been tragically different. Not only did the officer save the baby, but the officer did an outstanding job consoling the family. Once again, the Sterling Heights Police Department strives to provide the best service to our citizens, especially when it matters most!
